The idea

Every imported operation gets a category automatically when the app is confident. It tries several methods in order and stops at the first one that works.

The order it tries

  • Your categorization rules — exact matches you set up come first.
  • Learned patterns — categories you confirmed before, applied to similar operations.
  • Finn — the assistant suggests a category from the merchant and the MCC code.
  • If still unsure, the operation is left Needs review for you.

It learns from you

Every time you confirm or correct a category on a bank operation, the app remembers it. So over time it sorts more operations on its own and fewer end up needing review.
