Typing out a long grocery receipt is tedious. In the mobile app you can just photograph it: Finn reads the receipt and prepares a transaction from it, so a paper slip becomes a record in seconds.

How it works

From the chat input on your phone, choose to add a receipt photo. The image is read on our side, and Finn reconstructs the purchase — the merchant and the amount — and drops it into the chat for you.

Review before it's saved

A scanned receipt is always offered for a quick check before it becomes a transaction: Finn marks it as needing review and picks a sensible category, and you confirm or adjust. That keeps recognition mistakes from slipping into your books unnoticed.

Good to know

The receipt photo is used only to read the purchase — the image itself isn't stored. Receipt scanning is a feature of the mobile app; on the web you can still add expenses by typing or by voice. Scans count toward a monthly limit — see the article on free-plan limits.
