Stored encrypted, not as plain text
The sensitive parts of your account — things like your transaction notes, your name and email, the names of your categories and goals — are stored encrypted. They are not kept as ordinary readable text.
What that gives you
If the stored data were ever exposed, those sensitive details would not be readable on their own. In everyday use you don't notice any of this — the app shows your data to you normally. The protection is about how it is kept, not how you work with it.
Nothing to set up
This is on by default for everyone. There is no switch to flip and nothing to configure — it just works.
What it doesn't replace
Encryption protects the data we store. It doesn't lock the screen on your own device — if someone picks up your unlocked phone or computer, they can see whatever is open. For that, set a PIN and lock the app when you step away.
